Brosnan Regional Recruiter James D'Onofrio was working in the market office when he heard four loud bangs. He went outside and saw four vehicles that had all collided with one another. One female who was involved in the accident was still in her vehicle pinned by the dashboard. James and two other individuals worked together and were successful in freeing her from the vehicle. During this time, other witnesses called first responders.
EMT, CHP, and the Fire Department arrived and took over the scene. James continued to assist by directing traffic away from the accident.
Moments later, one of the first responders announced that the woman had passed away.
