In 2002, Congress passed the Homeland Security Act. It includes the Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act (SAFETY Act), which incentivizes the development of anti-terrorism technologies by helping with risk and litigation management for those creating and manufacturing these products.

To date, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate has only given out 1,000 SAFETY Act seals.

Brosnan Risk Consultants is proud to be a United States government approved and designated seller of Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology that is, or will be, deployed in defense against, response to, or recovery from recognized acts of terrorism.

Acts of terrorism are unfortunately a part of our world today, and the United States remains “in a heightened threat environment,” according to a recent National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin from DHS. Potential targets include “public gatherings, faith-based institutions, the LGBTQI+ community, schools, racial and religious minorities, government facilities and personnel, U.S. critical infrastructure, the media, and perceived ideological opponents.”
